Joe Squared North

Always have a blast playing at Joe Squared! You’ve got to check this place out. Great pizza, good vibes, cool neighborhood hangout.

Beans in the Belfry

Hit all the traffic hot spots on the way out to Brunswick on Friday night then when I do finally get there the road’s blocked off. Turns out they decided to close the streets so the vendors could set up early for the Railroad Days celebration. Then once I found my way past a barricade and started unloading the gear it started raining. But then I look up and I see Mark and Robin trudging down the street in their rain gear. That sure did put a smile on my face. Hanna came down from the office to have dinner with us and some other folks braved the rain and empty streets so we had a small but intimate crowd and a pretty good time. Thanks so much for being there!

9 Songwriter Series at 49 West

It was a really fun night, thanks to all for coming out on a Monday. Great performances by Justin Trawick et al. Special thanks to Jordan Sokel for joining me on harmonica. New good friend Jeni Parris Brady was there covering the show for Naptownmusic, check out the video she posted at: https://www.facebook.com/Naptownmusic. Same time, same place next month!

Brewer’s Alley

Always a pleasure and an interesting experience playing Brewer’s. Real good songs from Davey-O and Savannah, who were down from Buffalo, NY. Rod Deacey played harp on my ‘Country Blues’ and sounded great. Nice wrap up from Tomy Wright. Can’t wait to do it again!

Walk for Life Easton

Set up in a tent in the rain and cold feeling sorry for myself then looked out and saw all of these amazing people walking in the rain, no rain gear, no umbrellas, just walking in the rain, walking with a purpose. It was an honor to be part of this event. ‘Course there were some funny moments too, like when the guy asked if he could use the mic to make an announcement about cars parked in the wrong spot and I suddenly realized he was describing my car … oops.

Headlands Coffeehouse

Really enjoyed playing at the Headlands Coffeehouse in Northern California. Wild and soulful, sage and sea breezes vying for attention; the place, the people, and the staff made me feel at home. There were tenor sax notes still rattling in the rafters when I started playing in this jazz enclave – it was a real honor to have an opportunity to play my songs here. I imagined Kerouac and Cassidy rolling past on the sidewalk outside. Made some new friends, great audience, thanks for listening!

Frederick Coffee Company

I love playing this room. Something about the building maybe, or just the nice people that show up. Thanks to all who came out!

New Deal Cafe

Thanks to all for coming out last night. It’s so nice to see familiar faces and I appreciate SO MUCH that people came out for the show! Thank you, thank you, thank you! Frank Kayser on sound, who could ask for anything more! Special thanks to Erin Lewis for joining me on keyboards, and to my lovely wife Alison for singing on Who Found Who and The Boatbuilder.

Brewer’s Alley

Great night, always a pleasure to play this fine room! Wonderful cast of poets and musicians, fine performances by all. Justin Trawick was awesome and Todd Walker kept it all moving with expert aplomb. Finally got Rod’s belated birthday gift (Robert the Plant) in his hands. Somehow Katherine keeps smiling through it all and what a treat it was to hear Colette Rohan sing!.

Beans in the Belfry

Thanks for coming out last night. Thunderstorm threats and rising humidity didn’t deter. Nice folks, and met some new friends. Always love playing this venue.
